Year in Review- Power lines inspection 2017

2017 saw the consolidation of HEMAV Power Lines Inspection as a provider of inspection services in the Spanish electricity market. In addition to providing our services to the five electrical distributors throughout the national territory, we also had the opportunity to work for the Red Eléctrica carrier, totalling +8,000 km of lines inspected.

What have we achieved in 2017?

At HEMAV power lines inspection (Utilities) we have achieved the following:

  • From the technological point of view, 2017 implied very significant advances in terms of adding value to the sector with the incorporation of LIDAR in our drones.
  • Our digital agenda has made great progress, both in terms of optimising our internal processes and, above all, of delivering advanced digital solutions to our customers.
  • This way, in 2017 we deployed our VIEWER display, thanks to which our clients can visualise the inspection’s results in a digital format on a GIS system, and the DASHBOARD, digital tool to manage the inspection’s progress.
  • We also achieved relevant milestones in terms of adding new layers of value into our INSPECT-LAYERS philosophy, developing Risk Predictive Models and Felling and Pruning Optimisation.
  • The quality of our services was assessed very positively in the customer satisfaction survey, which is underpinned by achievements such as the ISO certifications obtained in 2017, and the improvements in the security of the data and of our platforms.
  • For that, in 2017 HEMAV brought digital solutions that enable an advanced management of our clients’ electrical assets.

What will 2018 bring?

From the very beginning of 2018, we are working to expand and bring solutions to the market that will help our clients optimise their maintenance operations:

  • We will grow internationally, building on the nine countries in which we are already deploying our power lines inspection services.
  • We will launch corona effect inspection services.
  • We will fly greater distances.
  • We will renew our fleet with more sophisticated aircraft.
  • We will incorporate new layers in INSPECT-LAYERS.
